Independent Trucks Mids

Independent Trucks is the #1 choice of professional skateboarders since 1978 and Built to Grind! Skateboarding's most iconic brand and leading manufacturer of skateboard trucks, hardware, clothing, and accessories.

The company was co-founded by Richard Novak, Jay Shiurman, Fausto Vitello, and Eric Swenson and the Stage 1 model was the inaugural product, released on May 23, 1978, in Newark, California. The Independent truck (or "Indy") was designed as a response to the lack of quality skateboard trucks on the market at the time. In reference to the two other major truck companies on the market, Blackhart stated that one broke, and one didn’t turn (Bennett Trucks and Tracker Trucks, respectively).

For those that don’t know, Independent Truck’s co-founder Fausto Vitello, also founded the most important skateboard magazine in skateboarding history, Thrasher Magazine!

Independent Trucks are considered the best for turning and grinding as well as the strongest trucks that you can buy. To add to their already amazing Hi and Low trucks are the new, long awaited, Mid range which feature a lower profile hanger for optimal contact point angle on your nose and tail for flip tricks, ledges, and all-around street skating with a recommended wheel size of 53mm and under.

Some of the best riders, past and present, ride for Independent (too many to list here) and their heritage speaks for itself, so grab yourself a set and get grinding!
