Who are Echo Skates?

Hello Hello. Stephen Whataspoon here Ila and I recently went to visit the HQ of Echo Skates. Our mission was to find out a bit more about where the brand came from and to see where they are going next.
Echo skates is a new aggressive skating boot brand from the UK. They first announced that they would be bringing out an aggressive skate just before the Winterclash competition in 2024 where they attended the tradeshow with some samples of the new skates.
The new aggressive model from Echo is called the Echo Verve and it has been released in 3 colours. Check them out below.
  1. Echo Verve Cream
  2. Echo Verve Graphite
  3. Echo Verve Green

Echo is brought to us by a company called Stateside Skates who is a large UK distributor for wheeled sports. Not only do they supply us with inline skates but also skateboards, roller skates, longboards, scooters, protection equipment and more. Here is a list of some of the other brands they carry:
From a very young age I can remember seeing Anarchy skates in skate shops and I even had a pair of the Anarchy Panic 2 skates when I was around 9 or 10 years old. The Anarchy brand was a cheap alternative to the higher quality skates that were on the market so they were extremely popular with beginners. Now Stateside has decided to level up the game and bring us Echo Skates which is more of a premium skate brand yet still deliver cheaper prices due to them being able to distribute the skates themselves. To learn a bit more about Echo Skates watch this video from their youtube.

Echo supplied me with a pair of the cream coloured Verve skates earlier in the year. They asked me to test them out and provide some feedback. I ended up not taking them off and now I have a second pair in the graphite colour. I continue to skate them as they fit my feet perfectly and they can also handle me skating them everyday in many different settings from skatepark, to group skating, to long distance skating. I'm currently using them with Endless UFS 80 frames so I can skate around more efficiently but sometimes I use the stock antirocker setup from Echo at the skatepark with no complaints at all. I'm very satisfied with these skates and I'm looking forward to seeing where the brand goes next.

When at Winterclash Echo announced that they would also be supplying the world with a new Freeskate Design. The idea here is to create a whole new mounting system that has never been seen before in the inline skating industry. In the photo above you can see a 3D printed version of what the skate will look like. More on that to come soon...
