Venture Trucks Buyer's Guide

Venture is another rad brand straight out of Deluxe Distribution who are also the home for Spitfire, Real, Anti Hero, Crooked, There and Unity.

Venture Trucks first hit the streets in the 1980s, the third truck brand from the Ermico company, which was founded by Fausto Vitello, and of the influential people behind Deluxe Distribution, Thrasher Magazine, Independent, Thunder Trucks and a long list of now iconic San Francisco skate brands.

Venture Trucks were released to give skates a third, more affordable option however, due to Ventures being lighter, they became extremely popular with street skateboarders.

The early 1990s saw Greg Carroll, Keith Cochrane and Don Fisher redesigning the trucks with a lower profile ‘Featherlight’ which catered to the different types of street skating evolving at the time and they were the first truck to market with a new smaller hole pattern, shifting the front truck holes back to the 53mm position which protected you mounting hardware from getting ground when performing nose and tail slides.

Needless to say, Venture Trucks exploded in popularity and is one of the best skateboard trucks manufacturers out there.

Venture, naturally, have a rad team shredding their trucks including Lucien Clarke, Bobby Forrest and Youness Amrani.
